Ypassmate

Terms of Use

Last updated 9 September 2026

1. What Ypassmate is

Ypassmate is a booking and communication tool that connects learner drivers with driving instructors. We are not a driving school. We do not employ instructors, set their prices, or deliver lessons. Any lesson is a contract between the learner and the instructor.

2. Your account

You must give accurate details and keep your login secure. You must be old enough to hold a UK provisional licence to use a learner account. Instructors must hold a current DVSA ADI or trainee (PDI) licence and appropriate insurance; badges shown in the app are self-declared unless stated otherwise.

3. Bookings, changes and cancellations

A booking request is confirmed only when the instructor accepts it. Rescheduling is limited (currently up to three times, and not within 12 hours of the lesson). Learners cannot cancel a confirmed lesson within 24 hours through the app — arrange it directly with your instructor. Instructors set their own no-show and late-cancellation policies.

4. Payments

Ypassmate does not process payments. Money changes hands directly between learner and instructor. The balance and payment records in the app are a shared ledger the instructor maintains; they are not proof of payment.

5. Reviews and conduct

Reviews must be honest and about a real lesson. Do not post abusive, misleading or personal content. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these terms or that are reported and found to be harmful. You can block another user at any time.

6. Availability and liability

We provide the app “as is” and don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Ypassmate is not liable for the acts or omissions of instructors or learners, for lessons not delivered, or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; significant changes will be notified in the app.
